‘Former IAF chief RKS Bhaduria has lashed out at Rahul Gandhi saying that the ‘Indian army should not enter politics:

This comes a day after the Indian Army denied that the family of Agniveer Ajay Kumar, who lost his life in the line of duty, had not paid compensation to the next of kin in social media posts, and his family has so far received Rs. 98.39 lakhs in the outstanding amount.

New Delhi: BJP leader and ex-Bharat Air Force chief RKS Bhadauria on Thursday slammed Congress leader MP Rahul Gandhi for raising questions over the Agniveer scheme and demanded an apology for accusing Defense Minister Rajnath Singh of lying to the relatives of Agniveer Ajay Kumar, who lost his life in the line of duty. This comes a day after the Indian Army rejected claims in social media posts that it had not paid compensation to the next of kin of Agniveer Ajay Kumar, who lost his life in the line of duty, and the outstanding amount of Rs 98.39 lakh was already given to his family. The total amount will be around Rs 1.65 crore, it was said in a clarification on Wednesday after the video was shared by the leader of each party in the Lok Sabha, MP Rahul Gandhi, who shared a video of Ajay’s father saying that they had not received the money.Gandhi cited Ajay’s case in his post asking defense minister Rajnath Singh to apologize for not lying in Parliament regarding the compensation to the families of the martyred firemen in the army A lot of discussions were held in the parliament on Agniveer, now the controversy is clarified that the defense minister’s statement that they have given one crore rupees is a lie, and they demanded an apology for that, because about Rs. 98 crores have already been received, but there is still money left to give to the family of Ajay Singh, but there is still Rs 67 lakhs to be given, Bhadauria said without mentioning Gandhi’s name Therefore, it is completely wrong in Parliament to argue that Singh’s statement is false, he alleged

“It is an emotional issue. The Army is not a sign of anything except the security of the people of India. It should not be involved in politics,” he said.Former IAS chief Agniveer asserted in Parliament that it was a “well-thought-out scheme” that was later implemented after extensive discussions.

No one should have any such doubts about the (quality) training provided to all the recruits under this scheme. Soldiers brought up under the scheme are no less than any ordinary soldier from any point of view, they fight with equal capacity in time of war. “Soldiers will now be our common soldiers,” he revealed.

Badauriya said that it is a good opportunity for the youth in the future to join the army without being afraid of any “mistake” filed against the Indian Army under the Agniveer scheme. He appealed to the people of India as a good opportunity to fight for security.
